Coach Kevin's Korner - Week 1

The coaching staff is MOST impressed with our Dolphin swimming, which we've observed at time trials and the first meet against Cedarbrook.  Our meet against Cedarbrook was a hard-fought contest which we ended up losing 397.5 - 391.5 (a VERY close meet!).  But many kudos to the swimmers for giving their best.  We had 83 top times out of the 155 total swims on Saturday... which means, more then half of the swims swum on Saturday were best times... AWESOME JOB DOLPHINS!

I know we have not had many practices due to the crazy weather we've been having, but we are swimming very well with the limited time. We will need to make the time we have at practice count, that means, giving our best in practice. The coaches see room for improvement in our streamlines, turns and finishes, we will touch up and perfect these skills this week at practice.

Overall, we were pleased with our spirit. Special thank-you's to the Brown family and Coach Rachel for the think of and creating the 'Toilet Plunger' spirit at time trials and to Coach Casey & Coach Ben who looked like Blue Warriors for their Bushwacker team. The Pirate theme seemed to go very well with the dreary, soggy, wet weather at Saturday's meet- remember, we are still 'Pirates' for our upcoming meet against Upper County on Wednesday evening... GO DOLPHINS!
